Yesterday I set out on a mission. I've had a stack of paintings that have been left unfinished for a few weeks, and I made it my goal to finish them today. I finished all but one. That is six paintings!! As I was cleaning up, I started feeling experimental - this is what evolved.
This is a piece of wood that was left unfinished after my Jennifer Mercede's workshop - I should have taken a before picture. I just went for it, adding layers of paint. And then I came up with the idea to use only these paints in these colors. An orange feather appeared, and the rest was history. This is my first painting painting. All of my pieces are illustrated and then painted. It was a lot of fun to try something new. And who knew limiting myself would reap such rewards. I really love the way it turned out. What do you think?
